THE LEMON JAM
In 2015, Mohammed launched The Lemon Jam in Dubai. Every Saturday, music lovers and gig goers were invited to chill and cure the weekend hangover while enjoying a varied selection of local & international bands. DJs played the finest downtempo, chill-out music plus the bar provided signature cocktails. The Lemon Jam also featured at Sole DXB.
KARAK BEATS
A weekly night in Dubai powered by Sailor Jerry and OHM events bringing together local DJ’s and creatives. A night for the open minded individual. At the time, this was the only weekly night in Dubai focused on promoting local talent from music to art. Mohammed hosted this night with The 264 Cru.
IMPORTED GOODS
Imported Goods launched in 2011 when Mohammed teamed up Polish DJ Rat teamed up to organise a series of parties in New Delhi.
Think Global, Listen Local - Imported Goods was a trans-national movement to spread music from the farthest corners of the globe, tearing down geographic borders and encouraging communal harmony through music and culture.
LOFI DISTRICT
Lofi District was a collective of like-minded, forward thinking, beat addicts, producers & djs masterminded by DJ MoCity, Nasrawi & Thornwood. The crew introduce Dubai to the sounds of tomorrow.
Lofi District was dedicated to pushing the vision and sound of labels like: Brainfeeder, Warp Records, Ninja Tune, Soulection, HW&W, Cosmonostro, Uncanny Valley, Echochord, BBE, Ghostly International and many more.
THE FUTURE
Inspired by new and fresh sounds from around the world, Mohammed produced a brand new set to bring these sounds to party goers in the freshest way possible. The parties included crazy light shows (by BeLights), live remixing and beat mashing.
SIMMER DOWN
In 2009, Mohammed and Reggae Rajas birthed the first ever reggae club night in India. To keep things fresh, night also hosted Caribbean themed films, celebrated landmark reggae events, hosted themed nights and invited guest selectors and live musicians to jam with them.
Simmer down brought iconic names through their doors such as Mr Williamz (Jamaica/UK), Mungo’s Hi-Fi & Soom T (UK), Brother Culture (UK) and more.
UFO ENTERTAINMENT
Single handily set up by Mohammed and aided by three promoters in 2008, Mohammed put on mind-blowing, large-scale events. One Halloween event saw a crowd of 500 people show up which made a double spread the next day. Mohammed’s next party saw over double the amount of people attend an epic NYE get down.
THE LIVING ROOM SESSIONS
This party was Mohammed’s first experience with live streaming. It was a huge success. One session in particular was a unforgettable send off as Mo moved to India shortly after. The event took place in Istanbul in 2011. Check out the footage here.
